To ensure the best results, the freezer bowl must be completely frozen before use, which typically takes 16-24 hours depending on the temperature of your freezer. It is recommended to place the bowl in the back of the freezer, where it's the coldest, and to keep it upright on a flat surface for even freezing. To check if the bowl is fully frozen, simply shake it and listen for the liquid moving.
For the most convenient frozen treats, it's best to leave the freezer bowl in the freezer at all times. Once removed, it will begin to defrost quickly, so it's important to use it immediately. Remember to keep your freezer set to 0°F to ensure proper freezing of all foods.
The Ice Cream Maker Attachment includes a freeze bowl, a dasher, a drive assembly, and a user manual. It is designed to fit all KitchenAid Stand Mixers, except the Artisan Mini 3.5QT Mixer.
